What is your job title?

Lead Backend Engineer

What inspires you about working for LYTT?

The culture and approach to work at LYTT has meant I’ve been given the freedom to shape my role within a really supportive team. The technology is what I find most inspiring, though; we’re pushing boundaries every day, and it’s exciting to be part of it.

What are your LYTT highlights?

Building and expanding the backend team has been a highlight for me. I’ve also got to work with new systems, like Apache Flink, which has made the role particularly interesting!

What are the challenges of working for LYTT?

LYTT is growing fast, is dynamic, and no two days are ever the same. It can sometimes be challenging to keep up! I’ve also had my first managerial role here, and managing people has been a learning curve for me.

What was your dream job as a child?

I wanted to be a marine biologist!
